*silence*

 don’t be so quick to judge.

You may look at her

and think

 she has the whole world at her feet, 

when in her mind 

everything is crumbling beneath her. 

treat everyone you meet 

with genuine kindness,

even if they do not reciprocate. 

You would never guess that 

one act of civility, acknowledgment, and care

could be someone’s reason 

to keep fighting.
