 I used to think 

in order to become close to someone 

you had to be just like them. 

With time

I’ve learned that the strongest relationships 

are between those that are different, 

but complement each other well

And shed light on different perspectives. 

The more you grow in life, 

the more knowledge and wisdom you value. 

Surround yourself with those that can give you insight

On yourself and the world around you, 

While still holding space for peace, empathy, and compromise.
